How to be a Horn-Rimmed Hottie!

While watching television this evening I noticed an interesting trend.  Three commercials in a row featured a man or woman wearing horn-rimmed glasses!

I love the horn-rimmed look.  A lot of people are afraid they will look too much like a hipster if they try to pull it off.  To that I say, not true!

Horn-Rimmed Glasses History

Horn-rimmed glasses have been in and out of the fashion scene since the early 1900s.  In fact, it used to be they were your only stylish option in eyeglass wear (your other main option was a thin (and quite Ben Franklin looking) metal or wire frame!).  In the 1950s popular rock-n-roll artist Buddy Holly made the horn-rimmed frame part of his iconic look and paved the way for this style of frame to take a prominent place in the fashion scene.

How to Wear Horn-Rimmed Glasses

So how do you wear the horn-rimmed look?  You add it to your current style! Be it a pair of tortoise shell colored prescription  glasses or a black Ray-Ban^® Wayfarer™ frame – horn-rimmed glasses can add a classic touch to whatever you are wearing.
