Hero Style

Heroes are everywhere.  Some have the powers and gadget suits to earn them “super” names. While others use their more natural and innate abilities to lend a hand when there is trouble (Think: Ethan Hunt, Jack Bauer, or brave, first responders everywhere!).

Whatever type of hero you relate to best, there’s one thing I’ve noticed:  an extraordinary amount of heroes wear glasses.  Just look at Clark Kent.  This super guy would have no style at all if it weren’t for his classic black Ray-Ban® Wayfarers™.  And, James Bond? Not nearly as sexy and mysterious without those trademark metal aviator sunglasses, in my opinion.

So gentlemen, what’s your glasses hero style?  Do you need glasses as part of your everyday disguise or simply want a pair of cool sunglass frames to keep the paparazzi guessing?  Whatever your desired look, I think you’ll like these eyeglass frame options.

For the Superman who needs a little vision correction:

Clark wore these Ray-Ban® frames, but I think a modern day Super guy might choose a pair of plastic frames like this gray one called “Citizen” by Lucky Brand or this olive green frame called “Rigby,” also by Lucky.

Indiana Jones was a college professor.  Though his circa 1950s style glasses are no longer in style, this updated version is what I’m sure your book worm-turned-adventure hero would be wearing today.  It’s a basic metal frame by Fission but it sure screams “smart.”

Like many everyday superheroes, you wear contact lenses or don’t need corrective lenses, but heroes still need to protect that vision (even if it isn’t x-ray) from the sun’s harmful rays.  Check out how these heroes cover their peepers.

Everyone loves James Bond’s sunglass frames, like these Ray-Ban® frames:

But, what about, Ironman’s alter ego Tony Stark’s sunwear? You’ve got to admit he looked pretty cool in a frame like this (made with sunglass lenses) from Lucky Brand:

Then there is Captain America. As a former military man, his shades would have to be regulation and would probably look a whole lot like this pair of Ray-Ban® glasses.

Got an impossible mission ahead of you? Then maybe you should take a cue from Ethan Hunt and try some of these cool tortoise shades from Ray-Ban®.
