Why Do Sunglasses Instantly Make A Girl Fabulous?

It was potentially the cutest Facebook post ever. My friend’s barely eighteen month old daughter instantly displaying an air of fashion attitude after putting on her mother’s designer sunglasses.

The photo was captioned, “Sunglasses instantly make a girl fabulous.”

And, I thought. How true is that? I know, personally, when I get dressed up to go out, putting on my sunglasses is the final touch that tops off my look. I love wearing them.

So, why does the right pair of sunglasses make a girl feel as if she can suddenly turn into a superstar?

I think it’s because sunglasses add an air of mystery. There’s a bit of intrigue involved when one sees a beautiful woman whose eyes are hidden behind a great sunglass frame.

They say your eyes are the windows into your soul. So, maybe sunglasses are like the blinds on those windows. You wonder, “What’s hiding behind there?” And, there is a level of curiosity that is peaked until those glamorous shades are removed.
