Ray-Ban Retro Looks Are This Season’s Must Haves!
Last night, my husband and I were invited to a friend’s art show in an ultra-hip section of our city. Of course, we weren’t trying to fool anyone into thinking we were ultra-hip ourselves. Rather, we were just there to support our very talented friend. But, I’ll admit, the pressure was on to choose the right outfit so I’d at least look the part.
In addition to noticing all of the fantastic art at the show, I couldn’t help but observe what the other show guests were wearing. There were many attendees wearing black, of course. There was a smattering of trendy dresses, too, contrasted by a handful of hipsters there to show their own unique style (or anti-style as the case may be).
But, one trend that seemed to be a common thread no matter which direction I looked last night was great, retro-looking eyeglasses. I took note of my favorite styles and then realized they were all by the same fantastic brand: Ray-Ban. And I realized that there was a reason for that: Ray-Ban’s thick lines are perfect for fall and winter ensembles. Here are some of the looks I saw:
Our artist friend had on this fantastic Ray-Ban frame. Its vintage appeal worked well with our friend’s edgy look and helped him stand out from the crowd.
I noticed a few women wearing all black and sporting eyeglass frames similar to this one. The thin temples are a cool retro feature that sets this frame apart. I personally like this look a lot.
One of my husband’s work associates was wearing this ultra cool Ray-Ban frame. His warmer skin tone looked really great with the tortoise shell look.
A man I didn’t know but who offered a toast to the artist had on a great, green-toned frame like this. I liked it so much I had to ask him who it was made by. Of course, it was this fabulous Ray-Ban look.
