Meet Her

This is Erin.

Erin is the Frames Director of Merchandising for Eyeglass World.

Born in Italy but lived in the U.S. her entire life in places like Dallas, Nashville, and D.C, Erin now calls Atlanta home.

Erin actually got her start in apparel, as a fashion buyer for names like Neiman Marcus, Hecht’s and Macy’s. But between her love for fashion and her love for things that are unique and different, eye wear seemed like an exciting area for her to explore.

Apart from buying all optical frames and sunglasses for Eyeglass World, Erin frequents optical shows not just domestically, such as Vision Expo in New York and Las Vegas, but also international ones in Milan, and Shanghai. Going to these shows helps her stay ahead of the curve regarding upcoming fashion trends and advances in the optical industry.

She describes her style as being “fun and funky!” She likes to mix it up day to day, not just with her clothes, but her eyeglasses, too! In fact, she owns probably 30 pairs of eyeglasses (they’re starting to outnumber her shoes and purses).

When looking for a great pair of specs, she looks for something different, something that hasn’t been seen before. The key, says Erin, is always in the details.

In 2009, Erin was voted by her peers as one of the most Influential Women in Optical.

Her one piece of advice: Remember to choose eyeglasses that are an extension of your personality. And remember, you always need options!
