How to Wear Glasses With Chevron!

Stripes are usually a solid fashion staple but this season a fabulous pattern, commonly called Chevron, is giving traditional striped prints a run for their money.

Chevron Fashion

If you aren’t familiar with Chevron, think of a stripe that does a zig zag.  On women, Chevron looks fabulous because you can strategically place that zig and zag on dresses, blouses or skirts.

When you angle those stripes in just the right way, chevron is extremely flattering.  It can enhance a small bust line.  It can make your waist look slimmer. It can shrink your rear view.  And, on the right dress, it can do all of these things at one time!

Chevron’s blocks of color are usually equal in size.  I’m seeing a lot of chunky navy and white, gray and white, and color combinations including purple this season.  Occasionally you’ll see a Chevron go wild with an added third (or even fourth) color in the mix.

What Color Glasses Should I Wear?

So what color glasses should you choose to accent your cute chevron tops or bottoms this season? I’d recommend sticking with frames that feature a solid color on the front.  The simplest option is to anchor your outfit by wearing a designer glasses frame in the darker of your pattern’s two featured colors.

If you are a little more daring when it comes to fashion, then you could also choose an eyeglass frame in a color that accents or blends with your chevron pattern.  For example, you could pair a great navy and white zig zag dress with a hot pair of ox blood colored or bright pink fashion frames.

You could choose shoes, a bag, or even a statement necklace in a similar color for a really well put together look.

Either of these frames (pictured below) would look great with a bold black and white or fuchsia chevron combination.  The first frame is a hot look by LA Ink.  The second is a slightly more conservative fashion look by Daisy Fuentes. Then what about choosing a great stylish frame like this one by Project Runway that features either a black and white or a turquoise and black zig zag pattern on the earpieces.

This is a cute way to add a touch of chevron-esque effect to your wardrobe if you feel too conspicuous wearing the bold pattern otherwise.
