Notebooks, backpacks, pencils, uniforms, and new shoes. It seems like there are 100 new things my children need before school starts and glasses are on that list!
Years ago children hated finding out that they had to wear eyeglasses. Now, it’s a treat because glasses are oh, so, stylish! In fact, my five-year-old fashionista insists on wearing her tortoise shell (no lenses) frames everywhere she goes. Just the other day I also saw a teenage boy on television wearing a super hip eyeglass frame and they were lens free as well.
So, whether your little style stars actually need glasses to see or just need them to look cool, Eyeglass World has an awesome collection of children’s eyeglass frames. Some of my favorites are made by two of the hottest brands out there: Converse and Lucky.
Glasses For The Girls
For your fashionable young lady, Lucky is the name to know is pretty girl glasses. Here are a few of my favorites. They each feature a splash of youthful color. If your daughter likes to be noticed, steer her towards the burgundy pair (Lucky Willow in burgundy).
She can get a second pair for one low price in tortoise as a back up for days when she’s not feeling quite so confident. All of these frames were designed with kids in mind — so they are durable, lightweight, and able to withstand a child’s active lifestyle.
Glasses For The Boys
Got a guy who wants to look cool, smart, and maybe tough, too? Then check out these three boys eyeglass frames by Converse. Converse offers a trendy glasses look with frames that are hip and stylish with a youthful edge. I love the duotone with a navy front pair as it’s a break from the usual brown or black and in my case may even coordinate with school uniform colors!
But, the black and silver in the “I don’t know” frame by Converse is pretty sharp too. Check out the Converse “Ambush” frame with it’s hint of a cool blue, too. Your school-age son can’t go wrong with any of the frames from the Converse eyewear line this year.
